For the 5th International Conference on Design Creativity (ICDC 2018), we welcome you to the University of Bath, UK, from 31st January to 2nd February 2018. Founded by the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Design Creativity and supported by the Design Society, ICDC 2018 welcomes researchers studying the nature of design creativity from several perspectives: design, engineering, computer science, education, management, linguistics, and cognitive science.
ICDC 2018 offers a forum for all those actively studying the topic of creativity within design. This year, we also invite authors to address the special theme of Conscious Creativity, presenting the use of design creativity methods and theory that consciously address the global design problems of the 21st century. These include, but are not limited to, effective remote collaboration, enabling cross-cultural perspectives, approaches to sustainable resource and environmental management, and the role of technology in creative working.
The city of Bath is a centre for culture heritage in the UK and UNESCO World Heritage Centre with a 2000 year history.
Bath today is a vibrant spa town filled with stunning Georgian architecture, Regency history and museums, and built upon an ancient Roman spa complex and hot springs. It is situated in the beautiful south west of the UK, 1.5 hours travel west of London.
We look forward to welcoming you!
